I looked over (who : could resist at this point?) and they both had thin dull lifeless : hair with absolutely no shine or body from all the chemicals they had : used over the years (yes it was very obvious) I would guess their : ages to be mid fifties or so. I thought what a shame how so many : people are brainwashed into thinking chemical is the only way to go. : I can understand why they are too, because any conventional book on : hair will tell you that henna is horrible to your hair and gives a : very unflattering color! I read that today at the library when I : looked in a book called "Dont go to the hair cosmetics counter : without me" (or some such title) out of curiosity I wanted to see : what she had to say about henna and thats what she said! It ruined : your hair and it was a very unflattering shade of orange, and that : there were so many good hair coloring products on the market : nowadays. And yes I thought when I looked at those two unsuspecting : women, this is the result. And here my 76 year old mother is walking : around with the hair of a 30 year old after her first henna. LONG : LIVE HENNA Valerie, You said a mouthful. I feel sorry for my friend who gets her hair "fried" every 6 weeks. Her natural is brownish blonde. She leaves that and fries it whitish....it's called highlights. (right..sure..whatever) It has no shine whatsover, and she can't figure out why. She loves my haircolor...and can't understand how healthy it is. (My natural is golden blonde)She's even "done" my hair for me when I couldn't lift my hands up above my neck...I offered to purchase some for her, and she said "No thanks, it's not worth the mess" Wrong!
