I teach history to adults [part-time: I am also disabled, so I'm not
allowed to do more and couldn't anyway]. One of the things they
notice, or which I point out to them, is the amount of internal
contradiction, mislabelling, misspelling, and sheer crap which gets
by the 'editors ' and this in so-called 'academic' publications.
Makes one even more skeptical about what is peddled in the popular
press, and that includes the entire cosmetics industry.
