"neutral henna" (cassia obovata)

i have been doing a lot of reading on how to dye my hair red with
henna...but i had some questions about the 'neutral henna'. i don't
think my son wants red hair...but he suffers from dandruff and just
really...weird...hair texture. his hair is very thick and actually
pretty healthy, but the texture always makes it look dry and
flyaway. i thought that neutral henna might be the way to go.

i am assuming you make a thick paste with it, same as red henna, but
do you have to leave it on for the 3-4 hours? i'm not sure he would
put up with having his head gooped for that long!
