: : I would henna before surgery ... for luck if for nothing else.
: : Recovery from surgery is not always quick, so you may not feel
like
: : tending your hair for a while.
: :
: : When I've had to go in to get stuff fixed, I try to get my hair
: : hennaed, then braided, so there's minimum of "inevitable
: uglification"
: : and massive rats nests by the time I am ready to brush my hair
: again.
: :
:
: I have had reactions to medication show up in my hair; that's why
I
: asked about doing my roots. I have every confidence in Henna
: strengthening my hair; duh, what was I thinking? And you're right
: because of the uglies :( Thank you for you're suggestions :)
: : I can't think of any reason on earth why the henna would
interfere
: : with your surgery, but you might go for a week ahead, just to be
: certain.

I fear my last answer wasn't clear. Henna wouldn't affect the
surgery; surgery will affect my hair...the medications,
anesthesia, "opiods"..all that garbage (in fact ANYTHING that
affects our body affects the hair..it's part of our body). Because
the stuff I will have put in my system, and would affect my hair,
(I'm rambling again, sorry)usually I lose hair after surgery...any
way, I hennad today, it's beautiful, looks healthy...IMHO if I look
healthy, I'll feel healthy. (That's what I'm telling myself, anyway)
