question on mixes

I just recently henna'd my hair (see last post) and i was wondering
if i might have messed up by using too much lime juice. I really
used mostly lime juice and a little bit of tea. (lol earl grey...its
what i had sitting there) but that made for gross little pulp bits
and fairly straw feeling hair for a while afterward. (i conditioned
alot to compinsate) i dont know what i should mix it with instead,
esp to avoid the gross pulp bits. also does anyone know how many
grams of henna you should mix with what amount liquid? my supplier
of henna powder only sold it in grams so i have no idea of oz like
most sites give directions w/. irk, so confused! help please!
