for several years and still do on occasion when I don't have any of
the good quailty around. I suspect the plain old red is pure henna
although old henna powder. However I doubt that the other colors
are. I've used thier mahogany, burgandy, red and black...usually in
some combination of those colors with no problems. I suspect the
black is an indigo/henna mix from the way the dye releases when I've
used it. Can't be certain whats in the other colors but I have never
noticed a chemical smell from them when mixed up. They work ok in a
pinch but I'd recomend ording the "good stuff" from a reliable henna
vendor.
