question on zubeda henna

ok, does anyone here know anything about nasty chemicals or other
stuff included in zubeda henna? i use it sometimes while i'm waiting
for my package of fresh henna to arrive. the guy at the asia shop said
it was pure (he also sells this stuff with picramat and said i
shouldn't use that, so i'd like to trust him). it's not the best
henna, but ok for refreshments inbetween. i'd hate to know there's
something wrong with it.. other than that it might be a bit stale. how
could i make sure about this?
