: Hi Valerie..
: Thanks for your super fast reply!
: The lip liner thought had crossed my mind, but I wasn't sure if it
: was a different kind of formulation to eyebrow pencil.. I don't
want
: it running down my face! :op
:
: I have found some Auburn eyebrow pencil, through Mary Kay
: cosmetics.. I've Emailed the rep & am waiting for info on postage &
: packing costs..
: Has anyone else used Mary Kay products?.. & if so, what did you
: think of them?

Mary Kay is a Christian company, from what I know about it - a woman
at work used to be one of their representatives, because of its
religious business philosophy. Their products were similar to those
you can buy in the shops, not organic or natural as many people here
understand those terms, but not at all bad quality.
About the eyebrow pencil: along with Valerie's idea about lipliner,
I'd suggest kohl eyeliner pencil. You can also find brush-on powder
eyebrow makeup, like eyeshadow but supposedly formulated for the brow
area. The Body Shop outlets might be a good starting point for these
things, but I have seen them at the chemist's in darkest Edinburgh,
so they should be available almost everywhere, and not too costly. I
use kohl from Germany and it does stay put - admittedly not on the
brows, because mine are like caterpillars, and the last thing I want
to do is attract attention there. I suspect the reason henna does
not 'take' on the brows may be that the skin there is somewhat
oilier, and because as we cleanse our faces we exfoliate...?

: : : I remember seeing in here, quite some time ago, someone asking
: : about
: : : eyebrow pencils, to match their hennaed hair. I know there
were
: : : replies to the message, but I can't for the life of me find the
: : post
: : : now!
: : :
: : : So I was wondering if anyone knew anywhere I could get auburn-
: ish
: : : colour eyebrow pencils?.. Preferably in the UK (I don't want to
: be
: : : paying huge amounts of shipping, just for an eyebrow pencil!)
: : : I did try hennaeing my eyebrows once, but it was alot of fuss,
: for
: : a
: : : couple of days worth of colour (& I think the skin around my
: : : eyebrows stained better than the eyebrows themself! :op )
: : :
: : : I'd be really grateful of any pointers in the right
: direction :o)

: : Have you considered using a dark lipliner? Some of them come in
: : brownish red that may be just what you are looking for. We have
: : inexpensive brands over here and some of their lipliners look
like
: : eyebrow pencils for people with red hair.
