Trying to get close to a certain color on my hair..!

Hey forum-ers! I need some help here.

I plan on henna-ing my hair for the first time soon and I want to get
a certain color (or close to it...). The mix is here:

my hair is really dark brown naturally and baby fine. It goes to my
shoulder blades, so it's almost 6-8 inches shorter than the lady in
the picture's hair (and it's straight, as opposed to hers being wavy).
Any recommendations for how much henna/indigo to use?

Also, I'm a little confused as to when the terps go into the henna.
So I would mix the henna with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar and
... wait.. and THEN put the terps in... and wait.. and THEN henna?

Oh, one more question: when I mix in the lemon juice/vinegar.. what
consistency is it supposed to be? I read somewhere it should be
yogurt-like. Is that right?
