you want to post on my behalf this is what I think (I can't check my facts
without the connection)

Oxidised Indigo won't work. Been there done that no luck. You must get the
solute on to the hair or whatever you're dying before the oxidation
and have
that happen in situ.

I believe there may be a way to reverse oxidation of unused dye and
recycle
it but that would be an industrial process and not very useful at the
domestic scale.
