keratin layer on the outer layers of hair .. and I suspect this is
characteristic of gray hair.
Other people have vary permeable hair, due to weathering, damage, as
well as their personal chemistry.
I'm good with 3 hours henna. Some people may need that extra time to
get complete saturation.
