: Lush,Sarah, or Avigal if so what is in them are they pure or not?

Hi, Savanah,
If you look on the Lush site, they list the ingredients under
their 'Caca Mama' henna; it comes in several colors. I bought their
CacaMama Rouge, which has as its first two ingredients henna and
cocoa butter, but haven't used it yet, and intend to do so primarily
as a conditioning treatment. I have read that the cocoa butter tends
to interfere with the coloration, and the directions instruct one to
use boiling water as well - not good for henna. But the conditioning
properties are probably good - I have used cocoa butter on my hair
and body, with excellent results on both - and it smells lovely.
See farther down the page here for'Sarah' henna [posted by Kathleen,
if memory serves me aright].I am not one of the experts here, just a
newbie like yourself, so my best advice is spend lots of time
perusing this site and Forum... And best of luck with your hennaing
ventures! Katherine
