Hi, Debra - This is pretty much my experience, too, except I used nothing but henna, no indigo. So I was surprised, to say the least, by the darker result! I had used a Colora Mahogany a few weeks prior to applying the body art henna - Jamila - with hardly any effect. Do you think there could have been some reaction between the two? I'd susoect that the Mahogany might contain some indigo. You are absolutely right about the matching roots, though...I was sure I'd have the dreaded two-tone, and it's just perfect, all the way down. I'm fascinated by the science of the way henna works.
