Please be very careful. I tried stripping henna (100%pure body
grade henna) off my hair using heat, mineral oil, & prell shampoo.
When this didn't work I decided to dye over the henna using Robert
Craig haircolor (which their website states is supposedly ok to use
in if your hair has been hennaed). I chose to use dark brown, and
like an idiot I did not do a test strand. My hair turned magenta.
Bright magenta with purple glints. It has been 6 months now & the
magenta has not faded one bit. I am having to grow it out and cut
as it grows. I have a head of hair that is half med. brown (my
roots) and half magenta. If you do decide to dye over it, my
recommendation to you would be to buy some different formulations of
hair dye and do test strands to see if you can get a good result.
