Do to the extremely dry nature of my hair though, I : can't deal with 'cones at all and I have to have a little moisture in my hair when : I oil it. I will try preshampooing though and see what effect it has. Hi, Hasprida, I had dry, dye-fried hair in August, and this site convinced me not only to return to henna, which I had used many years ago, but to switch to the body-art quality. There is really no comparison! I used a boxed henna, just to see if my hair would still be all right with henna after the abuse - it remained very dry. That problem has vanished with just one application, so far, of body-art henna. I'm now just trying to find a block of peaceful, uninterrupted time to do it again! The hair is extremely glossy, actually sparkles in the sun, and feels thick, smooth, and healthy. It doesn;t rub off on my clothes, either - which is more than I can say of other hennas and dyes. As to oils, I use nothing fancier than a little olive oil on mine, which I put in a leftover hairdye applicator. It gives a lot of control over how much and where you apply it. Others here have mentioned coconut oil - I've used it, too, also shea butter, but find both a bit heavy for my particular type of hair. Good luck, and hope this helps a bit! Katherine
