can i mix henna and semi permanant hair dyes?

hi my hair is naturally brown. i dyed it black with henna and indigo
but now its faded to brown agian. the henna only lasted about a
month. i want to use proper semi permenant hair dye now but am scared
it will fry my head. any info? plese email me urgently @
