: Thanks Faery...
:
: I will try pre-shampooing. Do to the extremely dry nature of my
hair though, I
: can't deal with 'cones at all and I have to have a little moisture
in my hair when
: I oil it. I will try preshampooing though and see what effect it
has.

I don't ever shampoo, I have been on a CO routine for a long time
now, and I don't see it having any effect on how the henna takes; as
I have said in the other posts, naturally curly dry or porous hair
has an open cuticle which takes the dye very readily. I get fantastic
deep colour results with often as little as an hour application time
(which I count myself lucky, I start to go crazy with stuff on my
head after about an hour and I don't know how people can go 4 hours+,
I salute them!!

In my experience, henna works great with a no shampoo routine,
although as I have said, I suspect that the colour fades a little bit
more quickly...its still good.
