I bought black, buthave not used it yet and plan to test it for PPD. Back to the red, myself and my best friend used henna paste mixture of a few drops of Eucalyptus EO and lemon juice and sifted Sadaf Red Henna powder, it made a pretty good red/orange stain. We were satisfied since we were doing Henna on my 13 year old Step Daughter, and ourselves and it worked fine. No allergic reaction, the only thing needed is a good sifting, you only lose about 1/3 of the product with a double stocking sift. The concerns for freshness are valid, as the henna is in a clear plastic baggie, and who knows how long it's been sitting there? It is a cheaper alternative and worked well for what we were doing. Sifting it made it work better with a mylar cone and regardless of the freshness, it still stained red-orange. I hope this helps! Blessings, Mina : ...maybe if they had they could share that knowledge. Thank you : for the link...(and your knowledge about Henna.) : : I just checked it out at length...and had a chance to look at the : pics. I guess I should mix up a tiny drop to see if it looks like the : ppd! It looks more watery, and less black than I thought it would. : tthankyou, for all your detail I appreciate it a lot! : : Love & Light, Tee
