A few days ago I came across an Indian website for Ayurverda beauty
care. On the hair colour page they had some interesting information
for taking your color to jet black. They said to mix up alma powder
and let it set overnight and then mix up your henna powder and mix
the alma powder in this mix and let it set for 12 hours, then you
apply as usual. I had some Alma powder so I decided to experiment.
I had hennaed my hair last week so I mixed up the alma powder and
let it set over night. This morning I mixed up the indigo, let it
release dye and then mixed in the alma. I let this set a few
minutes longer and then applied. I thought it was not working as I
saw no color change on my gloves or cap. I washed it out after 1
1/2 hours thinking it was a bust. I only used conditioner as they
said on the site not to shampoo for 24 hours. I let it dry and I
have the blackest hair I have ever had. It is a perfect match to my
eye lashes and brows. I am totaly amazed. Nothing was stained
black except my hair. I will have to see how this holds up and will
update this review in a few days. I will try to post the link.
