fresh indigo leavesPosted by Pam F. on October 13, 2004 at 20:18:19: I would like to know if anyone here knows if fresh indigo leaves (orweld leaves) can be dried or frozen or if they have to be used immediately after picking? Maybe this should be posted on the other forum?? A book called A Dyers Garden by Rita Buchanan says on page 44 ,last paragraph, that one mustn't freeze them but must use them right away. Somewhere else I read that they used to make balls of the weld leaves that were dried or something like that? Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here might know about this or not. I am kind of interested in growing it but not if I have to use it right away and can't freeze or dry it somehow.
