The first Iever : saw them was at Easter time -- you'd fill them with orange jellybeans : and tie off the top, making it look like a carrot Hallo, Elettaria - You may laugh at this, but when the need for a salon cape emerges, I just use the extra large rubbish bags. Sometimes I clip them round the shoulders; if the person is larger, or wants more expanse covered, open the bottom and a side slit for her or his hands. Pop it over the head, and the top ties can be tightened however comfortable round the neck [keeps drips out, too]. Otherwise, there surely must be a hairdressing school [to staff all those pricey salons!! 60 pounds and up for a trim, indeed...]in Edinburgh. Could one such let you know where they get their capes? Just an idea in both instances, from one who is used to making do! And I do hope your health is on the mend, Katherine
