I did a strand test on a lock at the nape of my neck (didn't know that you could use harvested hair from comb/hairbrush then) and had no problems with it. A strand test is highly advisable when you decide to do the switch. Either do it like I did - with a strand still attached to your head but in a hidden position so you can either cut it out or cover it with other hair if it doesn't turn out right. Or you can do it the easier (but somewhat slower) way - gather hair from your hairbrush/comb until you have a large handful and test it on this. Always use the same mix you plan on putting on your head and for the same amount of time you plan to leave it on - otherwise you're not getting a true picture of what will happen on your head. /Fia
