Henna and Swimming (chlorine)?

Does anyone have any advice about henna and swimming?

Recently I have been going swimming an awful lot and I am worried that
the chlorine in the water might combine badly with the Henna in my hair.

There don't seem to have ben any adverse effects yet, apart from the
fact that the henna colour seems to be washing out much more quickly
than it did before I was swimming regularly, and I am slightly worried
that this might be indicative of some further damage?

I am always careful to wash my hair straight after, but still the
colour fades very quickly. I have also tried wearing a swimming cap,
but since they are so tight it seems to tear a lot of my hair when I
take it off so I am not sure whether or not it is better to go without?

I am not worried about the colour fade in itself, it gives me an
excuse to henna more often! I am just worried that in the long run
there might be some bad reaction, or it will weaken my already
baby-fine hair. Does anyone have any idea about this?
