Even pure lawsonia inermis and water isn't safe for everyone, Catherine has umpteen references to prove it. Those reactions and allergies may be rare, but nothing on this good earth is safe for everyone. Having being educated by this forum myself I am very disappointed that Lush use the term black henna instead of indigo and have brought it up a number of times with staff. They're selling themselves short and bringing uneccesary approbation on themselves. But I also think you're being unfair on this particular company. I know a lot about them, and know people who have been to the factory and seen the products being made. I dare say I know more than most on this forum about the owners, staff, and products. You cannot deny that Lush list all their ingredients and that all those ingredients are natural and found in the very mixes we accept so readily on here. I'm sure if you wrote to Mark outlining your concerns about the accuracy of their labelling and the potential harm from his products he would be more than happy to set you straight, and provide you with all the legal declarations and testing proof you need. But we're never going to agree are we, I can tell :) Kate
