premature greying

I used to use henna until i started to go really white. My mum went
white early and so have the rest of the clan - trouble is I love my
horribly artificial red/black courtesy of Loreal but and here's the
big BUT.. I was daft enough to let someone stain my hand on holiday
and i now realise it was most likely PPD and Catherine advised no
more hair dye! What can I do to get a really dark reddish/black using
natural dye and one that will actually cover the white and not make
it go orange/pink or worse!! Any suggestion gratefully received.
