about chamomile

I know that chamomile is beneficial to blondes. I have a synthetic
brownish red colourant on my hair right now. What I am curious about
is whether or not chamomile will have any sort of lightening effect
on my hair. My guess would be that it wouldn't do so. Can any of you
inform me about this?
