A bit off topic... I'm dumb but still curiousPosted by Elizabeth on November 11, 2004 at 11:29:04: I've decided to go for a Cassia and henna mix over my previouslycolored hair -- with a harvested-hair test first, of course (I've learned well from this site!). I know that some people use chamomile in some form to encourage blondy tones, so I'm thinking of adding an infusion to my mix, but I've always wondered what it really does, if anything? Over the last few years of using Feria, my base color has become slightly lighter and warmer than natural, and I kind of like that -- so if chamomile might help encourage that effect, I might try it. On the other hand, Catherine is very explicit in stating that *no* herbal product will lighten hair... so why do people use it? Does it make it more yellow? Or does it inhibit dye transfer, so your color is less saturated?
