henna-highlight-henna?

Following the lousy advice of a friend, I used a boxed henna. Not
bad, really. It gave my dark brown hair some pizazz. THEN she
suggested some highlights as well. Hmmm...why not? I was on a roll.
The highlights stink. I have dark brown hair and they came out way
too light. I want to get rid of them! Can I use a dark brown henna
mix? Should I just use that temporary wash-in color till this mess
is grown out? Help, please.
