My hair is amazing today - the color is SO saturated and myhair is like silk! I fixed my batch and had a LONG dye release (24 hours-something came up). Put it in Saturday night at 7pm. I have a lot of hair so I wrapped it around snug against my head and patted it smooth , then wrapped with saran wrap TIGHT - I used lots coz I was afraid to damage my sheets. Put a shopping carry bag over that (smoothed it down, tied a knot in the front and tucked it up). Put a cheap shower cap over that. I covered my pillow case with a towel we use to dry the dog. Slept like a log, tho I admit I was a little confused when I first woke up because my head was so heavy (LOL). When I woke there was no mark on any linens, including the emergency towel. I had a cup of tea, make the kids breakfast, then filled the tub 1/2 way. This was about 7am. I usually shower the henna out, but decided to live a little (heehee) and tried the soak method so many people here use - swished my head a bit, stood up and rinsed, applied conditioner (Aussie) and rinsed again. I SWEAR, 5 mins max and the water was clear. I have no 1st day roughness, no wierd residue and my hair is so smooth I can't believe it. Also no orange - my hair is mahogany - like the Jazzing color Cherry Cola (my orig color is quite dark brown). The grey is absolutely blended in. The best henna experience I have had to date. Amazing. This was Catherines henna, lemon juice mixed with a brew of clove, hibiscus, dried lime (brewed like a tea, about 1 hr) and some rose water. Can you tell I am stoked- the folks on this forum won't lead you astray, the overnight is worth it! Good luck! : Hi Kirsten, : I wanted to know about your 1st over-night experience. : I'm going to try it for the first time over-night on Tuesday. : Any tips? : Thanks, Nancy
