Walnut - what are the drawbacks?

I have read that walnut is good to color hair, mixed with henna,
but besides the obvious allegic reactions some might get I have
been told that walnut has high levels of certain toxins or
something which are bad for you, can anybody give any more
detail? Much appreciated.
