Previously someone posted that she mixed amla w/ water the night
before and mixed it into dye-released indigo a few days after
applying henna. You could probably add it to your henna batch; Most
sites that I've looked at mention boiling amla or steeping it
overnight prior to use so it looks like it takes a while for the good
stuff to develop.
