Catherine told me to store it in the freezer before using and if there were any leftovers, but not to look for further dye release after thawing. I don't adjust my times for anything. I left it on overnight the first time I did it and I got such wonderful dye coating on my hair that I only really need to leave it on my hair for about 2 hours now. I'm only looking for root touch ups but I do my whole head as I'm afraid the color will look off if I only do the roots and not all of it. I do it about every 2-3 weeks, long before anyone but me notices the roots, so they probably get 2 dye sessions before anyone really notices them anyway. My hair grows about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in 2 -3 weeks but it's really very noticeable to me---which was why I was RUINING my hair using commercial dye. Red was no where NEAR as nice as with henna, was washing out the color after 2 weeks and dying every 4 weeks to keep the color on the roots and from fading too much. Henna is SSSSOOOOOOOOOO much better! I'm glad I found it after 2 years of commercial dyes than 20! lol krazee
