Henna on light blonde hairPosted by Monica Tittle on February 26, 2004 at 20:41:29: OK, my youngest has been begging me to henna her hair but I haven'tbecause she has really light blonde hair and I was afraid that it would turn out Bozo the Clown orange. Well, today I did a test on a lock to see if that's what would happen. I used some of my leftover body henna (Jamila, lemon juice, tiny bit of tea tree oil) and Bozo is exactly what it looks like so far. I know that henna on my hair changes over time so I'm going to give it a few days to see what happens. In the meantime, do any of you have any suggestions to make the color come out more strawberry blonde and less orangy? I'm thinking definitely leave out the terps. She has sensitive skin so I'd do that anyway, but I'm not sure if that would effect the color on hair. It doesn't seem to make a difference on mine but who knows on that baby blonde head!
