Here we go again! Amla Q, any answers?

I am trying to find out what color amla brings to henna, is it a
black or brown? I am seeing people use a mix of indigo with
amla in henna for dark results. I am trying to brown down the
bright red results of a natural Dark brunette with mostly grey! I
need to give my mom the recipe to continue her Henna use, but
have it browner. Any suggestions are welcomed!
