I have mid-thigh length hair .
Get body art quality henna, otherwise the rinsing will be forever.
2) have someone help you get the paste into your hair.
3) when you mix up the paste, put it in "carrot bags", linked below.
This really helps!
4) section the hair, and squish the paste from your carrot bag down to
the roots and scalp, then swish it all the way down the length of the
hair
5) wind all your hair up into a huge pile, clean up your forehead,
ears and neck and get it under some kind of platic wrap or cap.
6) If you don't want to sit with that heap on your head forever, pull
a dryer bonnet over it and cook it into your hair.
7) To rinse .... fill up the bathtub and lie down in the water to
rinse the henna out. For me, sitting in henna-filled water hits me
like a double valium. Not sure what that's about, but its interesting!
8) To get the rest of the henna out, use of those super pulsing
shower heads that make women smile and stay in the bathroom for half
an hour.
9) shampoo.
