And what do you mean by: disaster? If you get your henna from me or one of the suppliers here, there's nothing in the powder but henna. That's crucial. So many of the boxed up hair henna mixes don't have a complete list of ingredients ... and if there are metals in the henna (compound henna) the metals will interact with the synthetic dye. For instance "If there's copper in the henna you've used, your hair will start to boil, the hair will be hot and smell horrible, and the hair will disintegrate." ... that's the reaction of your compound henna has copper in it.
