Suggestion for thickening...Posted by Kirsten on December 2, 2004 at 22:05:37: As per my husband, He Who Cooks.....he suggests cooking barley in asmall amount of water until it thickens, strain and cool and add to your indigo/henna/whatever. Cornstarch would require more "cooking" but he feels the barley might help thicken and texturize a mix AFTER it has cooled some, thus not ruining your dye mix. Just a thought. :>D
