Suggestion for thickening...

As per my husband, He Who Cooks.....he suggests cooking barley in a
small amount of water until it thickens, strain and cool and add to
your indigo/henna/whatever. Cornstarch would require more "cooking"
but he feels the barley might help thicken and texturize a mix AFTER
it has cooled some, thus not ruining your dye mix.

Just a thought.
