Completely removing henna

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has a technique to completely take
all of the henna out of hair. I've heard about using warm mineral
oil & letting it sit on the hair for 1/2 hour and I'm trying it on a
section of my hair right now. But, does anyone even know if this
truly works? If not, could someone please tell me what does work?
