Thepowder is nothing but pure henna powder, finely sifted, with the high dye content available. Presently I have a bin full of Yemen, but my next round will be from Rajastahan. Sometimes I have henna from Pakistan. In terms of plant species, they're identical, in terms of processing, they're nearly identical, in terms of dye content, they're as identical as I can get from an agricultural crop that depends on climate. I like honest labeling and no fake claims. Just henna. Nothing but henna. I"m not going to make up cute fake stories about it and I'm not going to give it darling names. I just sell top quality henna with nothing else in it. Something I know about henna from different countries that others don't know ........ often henna from one country is resold through another country, and you can figure out who's done that by looking at the henna under the microscope, because the processing leaves recognizeable traces. I'd suspected that when I first saw the characteristics through the microscope, but then when I got my hands on world production and import/export records on henna ........... it can be grown in one place, sold through a broker at auction, and shipped out, repackaged, and be claimed to be from another place. That's why I"m not real impressed with some of the claims people put out for their henna.
