More tangly?

I hennaed my hair about a week ago. I used 1/2 henna and 1/2
cassia, and the color came out great. But everything I've read
about henna experiences (the good ones, I guess) was that henna made
the hair shiny and more manageable. Since last week, my hair has
been really tangly at the ends, way more than usual. Has anyone
else experienced anything like this? What can be done? I've tried
using lots of conditioner, I've tried light conditioner, I just
can't seem to get my shine back, and the snarling is driving my
crazy!
