Lightening with lemon takes weeks, in my experience. : : Thanks for telling me! I didn't know that. Did it damage your hair? Hi, Elizabeth - I seem to be a bit of a rarity, but I find with the lemon juice, the problem isn't hair damage - it is skin damage! I got a very nasty dermatitis from it, my first time round, including where I had inadvertently splashed some on my breast during application. It has taken over three months to heal. I hasten to add that I seem to be in a very small minority, but others have mentioned itching as an apparent result of using lemon juice. So the caveat is to do a patch test with it [as one is supposed to do with hair dyes] before any further work. If you already know that you have no sensitivity to it - carry on!
