When you henna, do you shampoo and condition after rinsing out your 'mud?' I find that to do so makes a difference. Between shampoos, I also use just a few drops of olive oil on my hair and scalp; jojoba works very well also, and a treatment with coconut oil may help as well. Body art henna really does make a difference to the cumulative condition of the hair. When I resumed hennaing in August, after using chemical dyes, I first experienced what you describe. Recently, however, I find that I can actually dispense with the use of conditioner after routine shampooings, and that is a 'first' for my thick, bushy hair. I would never have believed it possible, but it is indeed a result of the use of henna.
