Update on henna and amlaPosted by Meg on December 14, 2004 at 23:05:26: Monday I used a mix of hanna and amla for the first time. I gotblack, very black, but the gray did not stain black. It started out fox tail red and is steadily getting darker. It is now Irish setter red. Tomorrow I will mix indigo with amla. Last time I did this, but with plain henna and no amla, I got very black with rich burgundy streaks where the gray was. The burgundy was very dark and almost black. This faded on the gray very little and not at all on the other. I waited two months in-between this process and the last one. So far I am really pleased and if I did not have gray I would probably just skip the indigo as the henna/amla black is black enough. Meg
