Indigo versus Colora "black henna"

Hey hey hey,

I've tried hennaing and then using indigo on top in the past for jet
black. It seems that the indigo always faded and left me with a deep
burgundy black result.

Last night I tried Colora Henna Powder in black. It seemed like pure
indigo, just a bit more of a purple blue (maybe it has henna in it as
well?)

Anyway, it worked much better. I wonder why this is.

The other thing I noticed is that the Colora rubbed off on my hands
after my hair was dry (blue/grey palms) whereas the pure indigo did
not. Do you think it has something else in it?

Does anyone else use this. I really liked the result but don't want
to use it if it's chemicals.
