Don't care so much for body art, but it's a really special place, the people there are incredibly knowledgable and serious about what they do. I learn a lot there, not just about henna. Highly recommended. And the encyclopedia is awesome. In any case, this link: http://www.hennapage.com/henna/encyclopedia/sugars/ tells you all about adding sugars. It's a dense piece, I had to read it three times to absorb all the information. Bottom line I got from it is that dextrose works best, use 3 parts paste to one part dextrose, and *don't* add extra liquid (dextrose sucks moisture from the air). But reading the source yourself is best. : Check http://www.hennapage.com/henna/encyclopedia/sugars/stir/ ... : from crud to cream in 3 minutes! that is one cool set of pictures catherine... : These articles and more is part of why its essential that I integrate : the information on these sites ......... kinda makes my brain hurt to : think about all the work involved, I can see that... the amount of information on hennapage.com is overwhelming. I got my PhD on a lot less work ;-/ iris
