I didn't get burgundy with indigo ...

Maybe a dark cherry, in the sun, but when I did 50/50 indigo and henna it was more a
dark auburn ~ dark ash brown inside. It did give me a "cooler" red, rather than
orangey, which is what I wanted. I didn't see any difference, really, the time I used
walnut compared to other early attempts. But I was hoping for a cherry/burgundy
and never really did get that. I would say keep the indigo in the mix to tone down the
orange, if you don't want flaming orange coppery carroty possibilities, but do some
strand test. I mix the henna the night before and the indigo the morning of, and mix
them just before applying.
