freezing cassia "mix"?

if i'd had the foresight, i'd have asked this question before whipping
up some cassia "goop" and slopping it on my head, but it just arrived
this evening and i was a little too excited to think it through, LOL.

i ended up using only half of what i made, experimenting with Fia's
gel mix, but with cassia rather than henna. Can i freeze the
leftovers? Will the cassia retain its qualities if i freeze it now?
