Yes, Lotus Powder is the same greenish tint as henna andcassia/senna. Which follows, since they are all ground-up,
unprocessed leaves. The tealike smell that is common to all is from
the tannic acid.
It's interesting stuff. I read to put just 1 tablespoon in 1 cup warm
water and use it as a rinse after shampooing. The feel of the mixture
is somewhat viscous. You definitely need to rinse well afterward. I
find it better, personally, NOT to leave the rinse in, or for only 5
minutes. The hair tangles a bit when wet, but when dry it is tangle
free, heavy, shiny, and swings. Wish I knew more about it.
