I'm hennaed up with a new mix, still trying for more brown than
burgandy. Tick, tock, the wait begins. Will I make it beyond four
hours this time?

My latest mix:

65% henna, 25% walnut(terped with tea tree oil and mixed separately),
10% indigo (mixed separately), and 2 tablespoons tummeric.

Last time I did 60/40 henna and walnut and had to do my roots again in
3 days because the grey hairs didn't take well. The walnut only
seemed to dilute the henna not really affect the color.

So I am back to using a bit of indigo. I am still not convinced the
walnut does anything but I have some left over, so I am giving it
another go this time terped. The tummeric is to cut some of the blue
of indigo and hopefully make it more brown.

I made a bonnet out of part of one of those silver emergency blankets.
My head is very warm and cozy. My head is now silver trimmed with
yellow reflective tape. Tick, tock....

As an aside, the back of my head was caught by the family videographer
at a New Year's day party for a long time in the bottom quarter of the
screen and my hair looks dark brown and so, so shiny and healthy. I
couln't believe it was my hair. I just love henna and I am growing
fonder every day of that flash of red my hair has in the sunshine.

Tick tock...
