In the UK, the Soil Association provides links, so I imagine there'll be similar elsewhere. Asking at vegetarian cafes sounds sensible. The reason I mentioned Vitamin C is because it aids iron absorption in a big way, which is why anaemia is slightly less common amongst vegetarians: we tend to get less iron in our diet, but because we get so much more Vitamin C, we process and store the iron more efficiently. Anyway, glad to hear you've got the problem sorted.
